Hey man

you said in a review about 'synth storm' that i am waay better than you.
That is not true :). i think a producer's 'Skill' lies within their own imagination and productive skills, than in their skills in the program they use.

you can come up with great ideas and even greater melodies.
You just need to get a little better in the program youre using.
I think you are using Fruity loops. am i right ?.

here are some hints to help you on the right way :

at 00.57 the real trance melody starts.
You are using a Fruity Free Filter (are you ?) to let the second melody arise.
When you decrease the quality of the free filter, the weird clipping will dissappear.

at 1.09, you are starting with the beat and the low bass.
You are using a 140bpm kick 4/4 bars. am i right ?.
You could do the same with the bass !!.
it would create a MUCH smoother trance line.
for example : - means the kick, and _ means the bass.
you could do something like this (4/4) : -_-_-_-_
- = kick and _ = bass

Im sorry i couldnt explain it better. its quite difficult to speak in english for me.
If you have any questions about my hints, feel free to ask them, ill try to tell them on a diffrent way :P.

again, you do have the potential to become a great Producer. better than me !.
you just lack in the skill in FL. !!

I appreciate the review, yeah i use FL studio, don't worry i see what you're sayin here, your english is just fine. For the melody fade in i just slided the X modulation affecting the cut. You're right about the kicks.

I'll keep what you said in mind, I think I'm improving a little with FL with time, but the improvement is a little slow.

I'm using you as my great opinion in making my own music.
i downloaded nexus today, and im trying to make a remix of 'The Nexus Song' to.
I already made a song with this char, but newgrounds still didn't approved it,
and they aren't responding to my Mail i sent to them.

well, i wish you the bests of luck and inspiration.
perhaps you could review my songs once ?

heres another outside viewpoint

before this song i didn't even know what SKA was.

but i dont think SKA is my genre.
it sounds quite ambient all the time,
and just like the other ppl who reviewed this said : it goes offbeat a lot.
maybe that is SKA, but then i dont like it.

also the vocals aren't smooth.
he doesn't seem to control his voice a lot.

srry i cant give a better review, i wish i could.
so thats why i wont vote to low, im not experienced with SKA.

I don't understand what you mean by offbeat. It all sounds together to me. Are you talking about tempo? There are, admittedly, several tempo issues.
